About this artwork
This piece is part of a series around mental health and recovery, a subject significant for me from my own experiences.  My hope is to create work that people can find meaningful, encouraging and reassuring, or take enjoyment from, maybe depending upon how they are feeling at any given time. Thoughts, Feelings and Behaviours is a concept within CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) that describes the relationship between the “autopilot” and the “intentional” parts of our minds so that we can begin to understand how to change the way we think, in a way that allows us to feel better which in turn influences our behaviours, with the aim that the cycle develops more and more positively.
